I am currently a medical student at Boston University. Previously, I attended the MAMS program at Boston University where I completed my research thesis with Dr. Beth Bragdon and Dr. Louis Gerstenfeld in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington DC, and then, drawn by the mountains, completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduating, I moved even closer to the ski resorts, and worked for several years as an Anesthesia Technician at Yampa Valley Medical Center, where I learned a ton from the amazing team of physicians, nurses, and other techs.
Outside of school and pursuing a career in medicine, I love any activity that gets me outdoors, particularly skiing and mountain biking. I also love photography, and have recently gotten into videography and piloting drones to capture unique aerial perspectives. While the demands of graduate school have limited my free time to pursue these passions, I hope to add a photo section to the site soon (in the meantime you can check out my instagram).
I’m working on fusing these interests by creating a youtube channel targeted to “non-traditional” medical students like myself, and hope to create informative videos about Specialized Masters Programs (SMPs), study habits/techniques, and the medical school application process as a whole. I’ve benefited from many amazing youtube channels over the years, and I hope to give back and share my story and experiences in the hope that it will help others.
Thanks for checking out my site, and have a great day!
